LLEIDA (SPAIN) - 17/11/2024. Sin duda alguna, el mejor arranque de los Cleveland Cavaliers de la historia de la franquicia debería tenernos a todos en una nube de la que ninguno querríamos bajar. Evan Mobley está elevando su techo y se parece ya al 4 que todos soñábamos. Darius Garland hace gala de una confianza increíble, y nadie pone en duda hoy su encaje con la superestrella Donovan Mitchell, que se erige como serio candidato a MVP.

No se echa en falta de momento un 3 fijo en la alineación inicial porque Dean Wade y Okoro están a muy buen nivel físico-defensivo. Por si no fuera poco, Ty Jerome, recuperado ya de la lesión que lo tuvo apartado toda la temporada pasada de las pistas, es un segundo base de garantías, relegando a Craig Porter Jr al tercero de la lista. 

Y cuando la orquesta está afinada, todos los instrumentos suenan bien. Caris Levert lidera la liga en +/-, y George Niang aparece como un 3&D nato.

A Kenny Atkinson le está saliendo todo redondo, y es que se ha adueñado del récord de entrenador debutante con más victorias consecutivas, al que va sumando enteros. Además, ha heredado un sistema defensivo muy efectivo de JB Bickerstaff al que ha mejorado el ataque. Sin duda, candidato a técnico del año para desgracia de JJ Redick.

Estos Cavs ya son parte de la historia, en la que entraran también por otro aspecto que sólo conocemos los que estamos dentro de este mundo. Con el cambio de la directiva del departamento de comunicación los de Ohio han echado por tierra todos los esfuerzos que la franquicia ha hecho en Brasil y con la internacionalización del equipo gracias al NBA Paris Game de 2024, reduciendo drásticamente los partidos narrados en español (de 82 más PlayOffs a solamente 13 al año), prescindiendo de uno de los mejores broadcasters a nivel mundial en español, y recién galardonado con el "Prestigious Best Live Call of the Year Award", Rafael Hernández-Brito, el Alcalde Rafa.

Gracias a las retransmisiones en español de Rafa los Cavs han mantenido una fan-base de público latino, enganchando a seguidores más allá del charco, aquí en Europa, que ahora se encuentran con un vacío inmenso a la hora de escoger idioma en las retransmisiones de su equipo.

Los Cavaliers se desmarcan así de la línea radiofónica predominante en la ciudad. El resto de las grandes ligas cuentan con Rafa en las retransmisiones en español de sus encuentros junto con un equipo que le respalda tanto en NFL con los Cleveland Browns como en los Guardians de la MLB.

Los seguidores de los Cavs queremos disfrutar de nuevo de las increíbles retransmisiones de los Cavs en Español, de la emoción que imprime a los partidos el Alcalde Rafa y que la franquicia recupere de nuevo su proyección internacional que "alguien" se ha decidido cargar de un plumazo.

Without a doubt, the Cleveland Cavaliers' best start in franchise history should have us all on a cloud that none of us would want to come down from. Evan Mobley is raising his ceiling and already looks like the 4 we all dreamed of. Darius Garland is displaying incredible confidence, and no one today doubts his fit with superstar Donovan Mitchell, who stands as a serious MVP candidate.

There is no lack of a fixed 3 in the starting lineup for the moment because Dean Wade and Okoro are at a very good physical-defensive level. As if that were not enough, Ty Jerome, now recovered from the injury that kept him out of the courts all last season, is a second point guard, relegating Craig Porter Jr. to third on the list. 

And when the orchestra is in tune, all the instruments sound good. Caris Levert leads the league in +/-, and George Niang emerges as a natural 3&D.

Kenny Atkinson is coming into his own, and he has taken over the record as the rookie coach with the most consecutive wins, which he is adding to. In addition, he has inherited a very effective defensive system from BJ Bickerstaff and has improved the offense. Undoubtedly, candidate for coach of the year for JJ Redick's misfortune.

These Cavs are already part of history, in which they will enter also for another aspect that only those of us who are inside this world know. With the change in the leadership of the communication department, the Cleveland Cavaliers have ruined all the efforts that the franchise has made in Brazil, with the internationalization of the team thanks to the NBA Paris Game of 2024, drastically reducing the number of games broadcast in Spanish (from 82 plus PlayOffs to only 13 per year), dispensing with one of the best broadcasters worldwide in Spanish, and recently awarded with the “Prestigious Best Live Call of the Year Award”, Rafael Hernandez-Brito, "Mayor Rafa".

Thanks to Rafa's Spanish-language broadcasts, the Cavs have maintained a Latin fan base, engaging fans across the pond, here in Europe, who now find themselves with a huge void when it comes to choosing a language for their team's broadcasts.

The Cavaliers are thus breaking away from the predominant radio lineup in the city. The rest of the major leagues have Rafa on Spanish-language broadcasts of their games along with a team that supports him in both the NFL with the Cleveland Browns and the Guardians in MLB.

The Cavs fans want to enjoy again the incredible Cavs broadcasts in Spanish, the excitement that "Mayor Rafa" brings to the games and that the franchise recovers again his international projection that “someone” has decided to take away at a stroke.
